This might not apply here, but I have a rubric I developed using the 6 Traits + 1 (actually I left out Voice) that I use to score state Power Point presentations. If anyone wants it I can send it to you when I get to school and can get into my files.
As I read my students' writing pieces I keep track of students' names and some of the things I noticed them doing in their writing. I have just a table/form that says student, writing issue and date. For example trouble with are and our, work on Leads etc and then I use this list as the source for my future writing mini-lessons.
